North East Custom Apparel is owned and run by Laura Scott in Topeka, Kansas. The idea began when the school Laura works for lost its spirit wear printer. She and a coworker had designed shirts each year to raise funds, and when their source closed, Laura thought, “Maybe I can do this myself.”

Laura and her husband Kevin, who owned a hair studio for years, had experience designing and screen printing shirts for their staff—and loved it. What started as a small project quickly grew into a full-fledged business that ships bold, heartfelt designs throughout the continental United States.

The name North East honors their roots: Laura is from Northeast Kansas, and Kevin is from Northeast England. Proud of where they come from, it just felt right.
